Release S52-53 have been deployed at the end of June 2015.
Here is the summary of planned enhancements and new features.
A full Sprint report will be sent shortly after release!
Document Generator – TREC
Enhancement: Permission to manage HIDDEN folders
System will ignore "Hide/Show Hidden" permission when "Visibility of Hidden Folders" privilege is disabled.
Approvals Module: Stage Name Validation
To ensure that Workflow constructor follows best practice, we have added field validation for Stage Name fields in Workflow Constructor.
This means that Approval Stage cannot be named using special characters such as %, $, #, etc.
Approvals Module: Request location tool-tip
Approvals Dashboard is a convenient view of all Approval Requests concerning each stakeholder in the workflow.
Where Approval Request contains multiple locations this new feature will allow users to quickly and intuitively view all "folders" where the request for a particular material has been made.
Approvals Module: Naming Convention for Requests
Previously an Approval request ID was a simple sequential number.
Since many of our Clients are global, and may have multiple requests for the same material running in separate workflow streams, a new Approval identifiection convention has been implemented. This will no doubt provide faster identification for each approval ID when an e-mail alert is received.
Each Approval request will be identified by a simple combination of key properties: Approval Number + Date Created + Selected Locations
This means that Approval Alert e-mail notification subject will give a lot more detail about the request itself.
Approvals Module: Multi-location requests for multiple Risk Assessment Scenarios
Currently, approvals can be requested for multiple locations – with only a single Risk Assessment scenario.,
With this release it will be possible to request, and approve, multiple Risk Assessment scenarios in multiple locations, eliminating the need for multiple requests for a single material, if the material is used in several different ways...
General Enhancement: User Part Number data point delimiter
Managing data is never easy. Managing data points that contain multiple data points again – is even harder...especially when support for multiple data export formats is provided (XML, XLS, XLSx, CSV...).
Multiple part numbers are often assigned to a single product. This means that the Part No data point, when exported to XLS – might give multiple records.
A fix is now ready for release using "pipe ("|") as the delimiter for part numbers.
Settings Enhancements – Role Management
A major enhancement has been developed to allow User Roles to be Renamed by the Administrator.
The only 2 User Roles exempted are "Administrator" and "Everyone" – which are System Roles, and cannot be managed.
Settings Enhancements – Password Management
Password History option will now become available for users with Domain Administrator Role.
Settings Enhancements – Manifest Settings Permissions
Due to high demand, Access to manifest settings can now be assigned to users with no administrative permissions.
Essentially, it is a separate permission now.
Permission Enhancements – WebService API
More and more Subscribers are choosing to integrate data and documents from Chemwatch into their ERP/Other systems.
To make this a little easier to manage, Web Service API access is now a separate permission, and, can be managed by the Domain Administrator.
System Audit/History Features
This one is an epic!
For years, Chemwatch offered the ability to view DELETED items "forever". To complete the story, in this release, for the first time our Users will have the ability to review the history of an item. A context menu called "Item history" will show audit records for each Product. It will be a special permission managed by the Domain Administrator.
AuthorITe Enhancements – Editing and Saving Precautionary Phrases
Under GHS, P-phrases are governed by the Hazard Analysis (H-codes). However the regulation gives some scope for change where the Author may intervene.
In this release we are giving our Authoring Clients the ability to edit P codes/phrases, and store their edited valued in the database.
Gold (M)SDS enhancement – Two-column Regulatory Section
In some countries, for some Chemicals of concern, section 15 of the SDS can become quite lenghtly.
To contain the large number of lists into a more manageable layout, the section 15 of the Gold and Silver SDS will now be in 2 columns.
Manifest Alerts – "Maximum Limit" Notifications
"Maximum amount changed" email notifications have been implemented and will be released at the end of June.
Nominated persons will receive a notification when users, with permission, change the Maximum Limits in Manifest.
Query Builder – Searchable REACh Use Codes
Searchable REACh Use Codes are added to the Chemwatch Query Builder. The following data points will be available:
User REACh Uses (set by user)
Vendor REACh Uses (reported by Vendor)
There is also an existing Manifest Function called DELTA REACh – that allows our clients to produce an overall system discrepancy report, outlining all Materials where the USES reported by the Vendor do not match intended uses, set by the User.
Form Builder Forms – Material Forms storing values per LOCATION
Previously, only Risk Assessment Forms were Location Specific.
Material forms were saving values globally, against a chemical. With this release the Form Values for Materials will be stored per Location.
This enables a whole set of new possibilities such as: Air Monitoring records, Health Surveillance records, Spill/Incident forms that are location based, ect.
Molecular Structures - Library expansion
12,000 new molecular structure files have been added to our Library.
Single Sign-On Improvements: Automatic Log-in for SSO domains
Currently in final stages of QA - this feature will enable optional auto-login for Single Sign On Domains.
