Enhancements and new features:
New Live Chat!
Live Chat has become the most popular support-tool for Chemwatch Subscribers.
In this Sprint we are introducing a new Chat platform for better user experience, speed and browser support.
The new live-chat eliminates pop-ups and allows chatting from within the application itself!
Improved (M)SDS Edit Mode
On-Screen editing of generated content is the most elegant way of controlling content produced by Chemwatch Software.
However with more than 4,000 dynamic Regulatory end-points, and thousands of calculated data points fed to Documents, on-screen editing is not such a trivial task.
In this Sprint we are releasing full on-screen Edit function for all (M)SDS Header data points. Changes made in the edit mode are stored in the database.
Application Filter Settings — Per USER
In addition to the FOLDER filter settings, (M)SDS Country and Language filter can now also be set per USER.
This will simplify Document Management and Search - as it will allow Administrators to assign a particular Country and Language setting for each User.
Risk Assessment Checklists Translation Support
Control Banding Risk Assessment model is already widely adopted throughout the world. In the past year, Germany (BAuA) has made Control Banding the official Chemicals Risk Assessment model.
To support the international reach of Control Banding Risk Assessment, Chemwatch has added full multilingual support to Employee Checklists.
Risk Assessment Checklists are generated based on selected Task and, in some cases, Hazard and Risk Rating(s).
Incompatibility Report Enhancements
Further enhancements to the Incompatibility report have been made to provide even mode detail on:
- Segregation of Dangerous Goods
- Separation of Dangerous Goods
More information on fire separation, storage guidelines and chemically resistant materials are available from "information-tool tips".
To access these please click on the "i" icons in the report.
Manifest Containers — Additional Fields Added
Two new fields have been added to Manifest Container Data Points:
- Quantity of Containers
- Container Size
Further Permissions Granulation
Application Administrators will have the ability to set the following permissions for each user:
- Access to the (M)SDS and Approval Request form
- Access to the Folder Tree
- Managing Risk Assessment JOBS
Default Search Mode (Settings)
User experience is key to success of any system. With more than 10 search parameters now available in the simple search it has became apparent that a "default search" option setting would be a good addition to Chemwatch applications.
With Sprint 47 this will be available - allowing Chemwatch Administrators to set the default search parameter, per user.
This will be particularly useful to our Clients who search by Part Numbers, for example.
Set & Forget!
Defining Folders in Offline Archive
Offline Archive is a valuable tool for document backup, allowing our users to export, search and view an independent backup of (M)SDS, labels or other documents.
To support "real-life" scenarios where offline archives are maintained "per-site" we have added a Folder ID property to the Offline Archive.
This will improve backup functionality and administration of archives.
Approvals — Ability to re-submit rejected requests
Where an Approval request has been rejected at any stage of the Approval Workflow, it's status is recorded, the requesting party is notified and full audit trail becomes available for review.
In Sprint 47 we are releasing the ability to re-submit any previously rejected Request.
This is particularly useful where new knowledge, engineering controls or Personal Protection becomes available.
In addition to the above mentioned features and functionality, we would also like to mention some notable enhancements made in the following areas:
- Unsuccessful IP log-in re-directs to log-in page
- New Widgets to track Document-types generated per Account
- Auto-log-in enhancements
User Interface Improvements:
- New Icon for Preferred Names/Part Numbers
